‘Twas the night before Christmas, as I headed for bed
Not a creature was stirring, except the undead;
The shotguns were hung by the front door with care,
In hopes that our armed forces soon would be there;

[More:]

Survivors were nestled all snug in their packs,
While outside foul zombies continued attacks;
And mamma in Kevlar, and I with my gat,
Had just hatched a plan for some kickbutt combat,

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang to the peephole to see what was the matter.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature convoy, sporting wicked cool gear!

The carnage and gross stuff flew lively and quick,
So I knew in a moment I was gonna be sick.
More rapid than blackhawks his soldiers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name;

“Now, Valentine! Now, Redfield! Now, Birken and Spencer!
On, Chambers! On Burton! On, Vickers and Wesker!
To the top of the porch! To the front of the door!
Use all that weve got, but please leave the claymore!”

And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the roof
The moaning and clawing of some undead goof.
As I drew in my hand, and was turning around,
Down the chimney its head came rolling inbound.

His eyeballs—they rolled! His visage, how scary!
His teeth were a-chomping, his nose was all hairy!
His dried little lips was drawn back for attack,
It was obvious to me that he thought me a snack;

But Leon, lead soldier, burst the door with a kick,
And yelled, Help has arrived, now try not to panic!
With a wink of his eye and the smash of his boot,
That zombie head squished like a moldy wet fruit;

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And cleared out a route, then turned with a jerk,
And laying his finger aside of his gun,
He pointed the way, and away we did run.

He sprang to his tank, to his team gave a whistle,
And inside we clambered, leaving room for the missile.
And we heard him exclaim, as we drove out of sight,
“Merry Christmas to all, and keep up the good fight!”
