We haven’t tried out this Mega Man Quake 2 mod yet, so we can’t comment on it’s ingenuity, but we sure got a kick out of the description! Check out these weapons:

• #2 Dust Crusher – Fires a block of scrap that breaks into pieces when it hits a wall or player.


• #3 Skull Shield – Spawns protectiv skulls around the player that also damage anyone they touch


• #4 Crash Bomber – Fires a bomb that drills into the wall and then activates a timer to explode


• #5 Rolling Cutter – A spinning blade that firs in a circular motion


• #6 Hyper Bombs – High Explosives with a short fuse


• #7 Magnet Missile – Explosive projectile that attracts to metalic robot adversaries


• #8 Needle Cannon – Deep piercing projectiles shot at rapid fire rate.


• #9 Gemini Laser – High power laser that can reflect off of surfaces


• #0 Beam sword – A sword made of plasma energy designed for the Maveric Hunter Zero. Can be charged to fire explosive plasma blasts.

Just yesterday over lunch there were discussions on GnG being one of the best, yet one of the hardest, games ever, and today I find it combined with another candidate for “Best Game Evar” (Though much easier). Staticreator has, true to his/her name, created a cool Mega Man vs Ghosts N Goblins Flash game. The remixed GnG music accompanying the game is also top notch.

Not only are the old platformer Mega Man games some of the best games ever made, most also sported extremely memorable music (Mega Man 2 remains my personal all-time favorite). Many Mega Man fans can often be spotted on various music sites or YouTube, recreating their version of their favorite themes.

Today’s theme comes to us from Mega Man X. It’s the Storm Eagle theme from two YouTube videos, one featuring a remixed version, and one featuring a user playing an almost perfect electric guitar rendition. Check them out below.

The new Mega Man site, featuring Mega Man Star Force, is now live! There are your typical game info, and downloadable suchs as screensavers and wallpapers (You can even create your own!), as well as mini-games. Customize your own Mega Man manga masterpiece, even print it, with the Color Me Rad activity. Finally, how well do you really know Mega Man? Test your knownledge with the Mega Match game. Over 600 hundred Mega Man fans came out to a New York City GameStop this past Tuesday to see the father of Mega Man, Keiji Inafune, and have their various earthly possessions autographed by him. Since a picture is worth a thousand words, I present to you, pictures from the event!

As a reminder, today’s the day for those lucky enough to be in the New York City area to get an autograph from legendary game producer Keiji Inafune, the father of Mega Man, in addition to an appearance by Mega Man himself. The session will take place on today, August 7th, at the GameStop located on Broadway and 33rd in New York City, from 5pm to 8pm. Don’t miss it!
