There hasn’t been Onimusha news for awhile, but this one should make up for all that: Onimusha is getting a movie!

Screendaily.com is reporting that director Christoph Gans (Silent Hill) has signed on to direct the estimated $70 million film. The movie is still a bit of ways away though, as production is not set to start until February 2008, with a planned release date of December 2009.
