Hey All,
This is actually Seth masquerading as Brian, to let you know that the Digital Blog is being rolled into the mighty unified Capcom blog, which lives HERE:
blog.capcom.com
There’s actually two really sweet new posts up just today, including the first of a long series from David Sirlin detailing the balance changes, as well as a BIG one from Rey Jimenez on everyone’s favorite subject: the art!
Please update your bookmarks, feeds, etc., accordingly. We’ll be maintaining this page for archival purposes, but all new info will live on blog.capcom.com, with updates also posted on www.capcom-unity.com as usual.
best,
Seth
I’m pretty excited about today’s SFHD update. Rey has given me some early work-in-progress screenshots of the game. By “work-in-progress,” I mean these screenshots do NOT reflect how the final game will look exactly, but they should give you a pretty good idea. So please keep that in mind when you are viewing them. In his written update, Rey talks about the look of the characters, UI, and also clarifies the issue of which version of the game SFHD is being based on.

You may have read about the event we held in London this week, our UK Gamer’s Day event. We made some big announcements like Street Fighter IV, Bionic Commando, Commando 3, and Okami for the Nintendo Wii.
We also had on display a lot of our previously announced titles, like Rocketmen, for the press to get some hands-on time with.
IGN was there and did a nice write-up on Rocketmen. They also took a few videos of the game in action that do a good job of showing what you can expect when the game comes out later this year.

Remember Capcom’s classic games Commando and Mercs (sequel to Commando)? Well, at our Gamer’s Day event this week we announced a full-fledged sequel, Commando 3, for Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network.
It’s going to have 3-player co-op, co-op vehicles, and a ton of weapons to blast through the game with. Also, music is being done by Norihiko Hibino, known for his work on the Metal Gear series.
Go HERE for the complete rundown on the features and specs, HERE to read the hands-on report on Gamespot, HERE for the IGN write-up, and HERE to see the trailer. IGN also has some gameplay videos up on their site.

What do you think of the game? Leave a comment here on the blog, or head over to our forums and share your thoughts!
We of course had a bunch of other big announcements this week, and you can read all about them HERE.

We have a brand new trailer for Talisman, which you can check out HERE over on Gamespot. There’s not much to see right now, but you can still get an idea of what the game will look like.
We also have some great concept art from the game for you to check out.
Let us know what you think, in the comments below or on our forums!

I have a VERY special treat for you today. As if the recent SF4 announcement wasn’t enough, I am bringing you an update on Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix directly from Rey, along with the very first gameplay footage of the game in action.
Hit the jump to read the update and check out the video.

It’s been a while since the last update, I know. But I think the wait was worth it, because I’ve got a couple of great-looking pieces of art from the game – the beautiful but deadly Cammy, and mighty Bison. I’ve posted them as transparent gifs in case you want to paste them in and make some new mock-ups of in-game screens.
In Rey’s update, he also talks about the netcode they’re working on for the game, which I know is something a lot of you are anxious about.
Click through to read the update and see the pretty new pictures.

You may remember a while back we asked for your suggestions for Achievements (Xbox 360) for Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix.
We went through the massive list of suggestions, all (well, most) of which were great, picked our favorites, and sent them to the technical guys on the dev team to figure out which ones were actually “trackable.”
We got the feedback from the dev team, and now we have the poll up on our forums.
Voting will be closed October 1st, so everyone has 2 weeks plus a weekend to vote.
Once we have a winner, the person (or people if multiple people had the same suggestion) who suggested the Achievement will have his/her alias appear in the credits of the game.

Face the challenge!!! Today until 1PM PST Capcom will be hosting and joining matches of Puzzle Fighter on Xbox Live, as advertised on Capcom Unity earlier this week. I will be playing, and so will a host of other Puzzle Fighter pros in the office.
Look for the gamertag “BadBoodah77” in X’ mode and enter the fray!

I had a great time at the X07 event in Toronto. I was there to work, of course, but I also got some great hands-on time with Halo 3 MP, Call of Duty 4, and a bunch of other great titles.
Anyway, I’m back in the office today. Puzzle Fighter came out on LIVE Arcade yesterday, and just hit the PlayStation Network store earlier today (be sure to pick up the PF wallpaper images from the PSN store!).
I’m pleased to announce that, thanks to my main web tech guru here at Capcom, Tom J, we now have leaderboards for Puzzle Fighter on the game’s website. The leaderboards are for the Xbox 360 version only. You can view the top 50 players in both X and X’ modes, for the week and for lifetime. How many other games have online leaderboards the day after a game launches?

We’ll also be adding a search function very soon so you can look up your gamertag, or your friend’s, and see how you stack up.
To check out the leaderboards, go to our Digital portal, head to the Puzzle Fighter page, and click on the Leaderboard graphic on the bottom left.
